I will confess that I'm a huge fan of Megan Crewe's writing (and I've been privileged to be a beta reader for her in the past). When I heard of her latest, I couldn't wait to read it, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. :) I liked the dual POV, the tension throughout, the sympathetic characters, the magic and testing atmosphere, and the pacing. This is a great introduction to this world, and I can't wait for the next installment!
