This was the second book I've read by Eileen Cook. The first (WITH MALICE) was pretty good, so I picked this one up to give it a try. I thought the mystery/suspense aspect was interesting, but I just didn't like main character all that much. She had reasons for her behavior, of course, but she didn't treat those closest to her very nicely, and she was willing to deceive people to get her way. I guess it just didn't work for me that well. One-sentence summary: Sadie longs to escape her life, her financial troubles, her social status; however, as she cons her way to more money and status, she finds herself falling for her own lies. Genre: contemporary, drama, mystery, romance Publishing Info: Simon Pulse, 12/12 Overall review synopsis: 3/5 stars; probably won't re-read; recommended for those who like con artists with a growing conscience, those who like teen romance, and those who like twisty endings.
